Great question. It depends what you want to do with the robot. The robots I use connect to computers and record lots of information about how you’re doing CPR like how hard you’re pressing, how quickly you’re going, how much air you breath in etc. One full set of what I use (a robot, a tablet, the PC software) is about £3,000. But they need spare parts too fairly regularly like new bags for lungs (so they don’t go mouldy), clean faces, new batteries, new springs, and that adds more cost plus my time to fix them.
You can get more advanced ones that you can use defibrillators on and put tubes down the mouth and that have arms and legs (mine are just the head and body) and they are even more expensive at about £5,000 for a full set.
However, if you just want to practice doing CPR without knowing how well you’re doing it, you can get very basic trainers for not much money. If your school was interested I would recommend this one which includes 10 basic CPR dummies for £400. http://www.laerdal.com/gb/doc/2816/British-Heart-Foundation-CALL-PUSH-RESCUE-kit
