Question: how long did the big bang theory last

The big bang theory in terms of how the universe came to be still exists. In fact the word “theory” sometimes can be a bit confusing. In every day life theory usually means an idea, but in science it means something quite different. For an idea of how something works we would say “hypothesis” instead. If a hypothesis is tested, and is shown to be true many many times, it then becomes called a scientific theory. Take gravity for example, When the apple dropped on Isaac Newtons head, he put forward the hypothesis that there was a force called gravity which made things fall to the earth. Since then, billions of apples, iPods, Freshly made pieces of toast etc. have all fallen to the ground, so gravity was upgraded to a scientific theory.
If you meant the big bang theory the TV show, it’s now up to series 11 😀
