Incredible. I managed after MONTHS of getting nowhere to find a gene in gerbils which nobody else could find, and actually said had disappeared completely. I found it on a Friday afternoon at about 3 oclock, and I started jumping around our office shouting “found it!”. It’s a great feeling.

Wow Adams story sounds wicked! I havent actually made any new discoveries, but when an experiment works you get the same feeling. Especially when youve never done it before! I really love doing western blots as you get to see at the end if the protein you are looking for is there or not, its so exciting when you see it and it makes me really happy. Lots of people dance around the lab when their western blots work!
