• Question: Have you ever had to do CPR on a real person?

      Thankfully no. Someone I trained in CPR did use it on his Dad after he had a heart attack and his Dad came back to life and got to hospital. I’m so proud of that person.

      But it’s really important to know how to do CPR. In England, if someone has a heart attack anywhere other than hospital they only have about an 8% chance of surviving – not very much at all. In Norway its 3 times higher. One of the main reasons for this is bystanders (that’s you) doing CPR. The quicker someone gets CPR the better it is. If you see someone have a cardiac arrest and don’t know CPR, if you call 999 they will teach you over the phone too.
