Hi 232actj47, That’s an interesting question!
I support 2 charities in particular, which are Refuge and Tommy’s. Refuge is a charity which supports women and children who are victims of domestic abuse and violence, and Tommy’s is a charity which funds research into preventing premature birth and miscarriage.
I’m a big supporter of an organisation called WASHable, which help less developed countries with clean water issues, as well as Mind the mental health charity. For me both physical and mental health are a really important part of sustainability. Who doesn’t love a cake sale?!
I don’t actually support any charities financially, but i do volunteer for a charity called the British Science Association, we do lots of events to get people interested in science in society – like doing debates on artificial intelligence and privacy. There is a charity in Bristol that collects food from supermarkets and then cooks for loads of people with it for free and i’ve signed up to do some collecting of food for them when i have some free time.
i volunteer with two charities, Sustrans and Kith & Kids.
Have regularly donations to WWF and Red Cross, this year have been fundraising for Project Waterfall, St Mungo’s, Women v Cancer and have events for ZSL, Help for Heroes and Aspire. I also support the work of organisations such as Greenpeace.
