Not yet! I don’t think I ever will, but, i’ve not been doing it for very long so i might get bored of it. Who knows…

Yes. Oh my goodness yes. Sometimes I bang my head against the table bored and frustrated that what I am working on isn’t working and isn’t fun. I think there are boring parts to any job but sometimes it all comes together and its so much fun and everything works and it’s all worth it!

Sometimes yes, definitely. A lot of my time I spend applying for funding so I can actually have the money to fund the experiments to do the science. Unfortunately, with the way the funding system works in the UK, a lot of these applications don’t end up being funded (even if they’re good ideas!), which means spending many hours on something for no reason. Obviously to coin the old catchphrase “you’ve got to be in it to win it”, but it can be incredibly frustrating. Just got to stay positive and keep going and eventually everything works out fine, then it’s awesome!

There might be boring tasks that I have to do, but to be honest I can’t say that I really get bored at work as every day is so different and varied! Maybe ask me again in five years…
