Ah, that’s a good point. Yep, we do sound really different in our heads to how we sound to other people, or in recordings. It’s basically due to how the sound waves travel from our vocal chords to our own or other’s ears. If I speak to you, the sound is directed out from my mouth and (basically) directly to your ears. But from my point of view (well, hearing), part of the sound will come directly from my mouth, but will also partly pass through my throat to reach my ears internally. These will probably muffle the sound somewhat, and overall give the effect of making my voice sound differently to how you hear it!

Or does Preshous333 mean why do you never hear yourself as others hear you? It always scared me when I was younger when I heard my voice recorded!
