• Question: Is it true that bannana skins are very slippery? If so what makes them that way?

      Hi spacenut! Banana skins aren’t as slippery as cartoons make them out to be – basically, it depends on the moisture content of the inner surface of the skin. If it’s very wet, then it will be slippery (much like wet floors are slippy), but if it’s dry, then it won’t be!

      Hi spacenut. As Pete says, cartoons make banana’s out to be a lot more slippery than they actually are! But if they’re wet then they can be really slippery…but no more so than anything else on the floor that gets wet!
