I had great fun helping Prof. Sophie Scott with the Christmas Lectures, but never really got to speak to anybody who might have seen them and had questions about them or any other aspect of science. Young people tend to be curious about the world and it’s important that us adults try and foster that. Curiosity is a great thing in general, but it’s also an important part of being a scientist. My boss is a great example. He’s been a scientist for over 30 years and is still very curious. I sometimes get the feeling he knows everything, but he often surprises me by saying “I don’t know”. Then he’ll turn to me and say “… why don’t you go and find out”. What a wonderful way to be and work.
